Are own Super Hero Squad
We are raising a couple of super Hero's! Don't get jealous just yet... Mine are Demando the boy with the power to demand all day long and Repeato the little girl who repeats things over and over and over until you repeat what she is saying but in a question back at her. I think that weakens her powers.
Happy New Year!
WOW!! 2010... What could this new year bring.
Last year brought Molly. I never thought I would get to have three kids. I never would have if I didn't donate my kidney to my dads brother. I would not have donated my kidney if my dad had never passed away from Cancer and left us to miss him everyday. Hopefully this year it won't hurt so much. Because dad died I got to reconnect with his brother who we then found out needed a kidney. Even more amazing is that Molly's due date was Feb., 24th 2009. Exactly 2 years to the day that my dad died. I know, crazy. I think that is part of the reason why I feel so lucky to have her. She is truly a gift.
I know, I know my other two are also fantastic gift. But I really feel like my dad was sending us her to help us deal with him being gone.
I have my first follower!! Its my sister but it still felt really cool seeing a 1 instead of a 0. Congrats Ann Marie on being my first! :-) Come on Sam you know you want to too! Maybe 2010 will bringing me some followers. I got lost in a web of blogs tonight. I just kept following links to different blogs until I finally had to to say enough is enough. For now. A few really cool things I learned from other blogs tonight:
From the blog the Middlest sister she made pillows out of her brother in law shirts who had passed away. I thought this was an amazing idea for those thing you can not part from but don't want to just keep them in a closet.
From The blog Two Shades of Pink she taught me that you can clean your microwave by putting water in a microwave safe bowl and putting it into you microwave for about 4-6 minutes. And wha-la clean microwave!! Magic! Everything is softened up and all I have to do is wipe it clean.
Thank you ladies! Theses are two things that have greatly improved my life! Hopefully I am not doing anything illegal repeating theses ideas. Sorry if I have.
There are so many fantastic ideas out there!! My goal this year is to find a new one everyday! 365 ideas? How Julie & Julia of me. Just not as cool and knowing me it will last about two weeks. Does the above ideas count as two or 0 since it is still 2009?
The fire works have started and are in full swing out side. Please my sweet kiddos sleep through all of the craziness. I have already had someone stop by to let me know my garage door was open. Every night when Doug leaves for work the kiddos like to wave him off as he turns on his lights from his police car. Then we close the door and we go on our way running around with our head cut off leaving the garage door open, again. Thankfully we have great neighbors. This particular neighbor was driving his 4 year old around (it was 10ish) because he couldn't sleep through all of the fireworks and wanted to go see them. What a good dad.
I am again with out my love on New Years Eve. Hopefully one year he won't work nights and we can try to stay up to midnight, together.
In just one short hour is a new year and a new day. Thank God I need a do over.

Some mornings....
I saw this quote a while back on a plaque in a friends bath room:
"Raising children is like being pecked to death by a chicken"
Some days it really does. Its the two older ones that do the pecking. Molly has me wrapped so tightly around her finger she can do no wrong right now. Last night I went in her room to check on her and the light from the hall must have woke her up because she sat up in her crib looking for what ever woke her up. There a stood not moving next to her crib hoping she doesn't see or hear me. Watching her look around all sweet and Molly like I couldn't resit and I scooped her up and held her tight.
I love my house between 9pm and 11pm. Its usually very quiet, clean and all mine to enjoy by myself!!

Here I go...
I have become addicted to reading blogs and yes even twitter. I think they are all fabulous! I have learned so much from reading about how other people live and raise their kiddos. How did my mom ever raise me with out being able to read a blog about food choices and diaper options. Good job mom!!
Today I tried starting this blog at 730 am. Before the first sentenced was typed out my son came up to me and said "excuse me mom, could you help me find some cars up stairs in my room?" The reason why I am telling you this is because in 5 years my son has never said "excuse me mom". I smiled all the way up the stairs. Maybe I am doing something right!! It only takes little things to make this mom happy. Colin is getting better. He doesn't whine as much as he did yesterday. He goes to bed without throwing a fit and sometimes he doesn't interrupt me when I am on the phone. Colin is a constant reminder that my kids are growing up. Too fast some days and not fast enough other days.

I decided today that I need to start organizing our home. 5 people in a 2000 sq foot home can get tight. Especially when 3 of them are kids and their toys are almost as big as their voices. I wanted to start small so I opened up the up stairs hall closet where Colin parks his vehicles and in I went. I that closet I finally found Emilie's birth certificate!! Doug's passport our wedding photos and about a billion other things.
I know the finished product doesn't seem like much but I took a ton of stuff out of that closet and Colin can park the rest of his fleet of vehicles. Like I said before, the little things.
Hopefully I will get to the really scary parts of the house. My closet and under the spare bed in Molly's room.
I hope this blog brings some sunshine into your day or at least fills up some spare time.
