The best medicine is the sun!

I woke up this morning feeling like a giant pile of poop. The left side of my head feels like it was hit with a 2 by four and my jaw feels like it is being jabbed over and over. Awesome.

But, when we pulled back the curtains we found tons of beautiful sunshine pouring in and there was no way we were going to waste another day hanging around the house.

In the car we tumbled and away we went to the zoo.

Anyone who knows me knows that I hate crowds. And on this sunny morning at the zoo there was NO ONE THERE!! HURRAY for me!!

We had a great time. I even found 15 bucks in the parking lot which payed for our carousel ride, twice.

We even got to UN-stroller the Molly.

After we got home I was in need of some liquid sunshine. I feel like I have been sick for so long... or at least since September and I need to start making even more changes.

I've always loved juicing anything and everything but I need to start doing it everyday until I get through this cold/flu season.

Even the kiddos tried them.

2 going on 4

Molly is turning 2 in 13 days. Just writing that make me a little lot sad. This little human came out yelling here I am world hear me roar!

This last week she has really reminded me what a strong personality she has. She got sick last week and this week it turned into a sinus infection and boy does she get angry when she is sick. 

Once she starting feeling better she is a lot of fun.

And this little girl can drink out of a glass better then any of my other kids and they are 6 and 4

on the bright side...

I'm going to have some crazy healthy kids for the next 10 days.

All it took was for 2 kids to get pink eye and one to get a side of ear infection and one babe with a sinus infection.

Not bad for 2 doctor visit in two days.

hmmmm and flu season is just starting.

Today was one of those days when all I could think about was how many hours until bed time.

After everyone was tucked in bed I sat down to edited pictures and this was the first one I came across.

It's only been a week but these kiddos are missing their dad. And I know their dad is also missing them. a lot.

I can't imagine not seeing my kids for 6 weeks. Imagine how much they will change.

This little man is keeping it together a lot better then I thought he would.

This one on the other hand is a train wreck

She is Doug's #1 fan and wants to be where ever he is.

 

Because he makes everything better.

Even though she is crazy strong I know she misses him.

See Kai Run

 The kiddos pictures that were taken for See Kai Run are finally here!! It seems like forever ago they were done. I tried to save the pictures off of the site but they were to grainy. So this is the best  I could do. Hopefully I can get the real ones.

The girls also had their pictures taken together but they must not have turned out. The first one of Emilie is also in their spring look book. Very cool. It was such a fun experience working with See Kai Run they truly are an amazing children's shoe company.

Molly is still their onesie model. She is such a baby in those pictures. Its hard to believe she is going to be two this month.

This is where Emilie spent most of her afternoon. Soaking up as much of the sun as she could through the dirtiest sliding door ever.

I guess when you are sick you just want warmth and comfort where ever you can get it.

And cereal with brother is pretty awesome too.

Next time I looked, under the most random blanket I found

she slept there until Molly woke up from her nap and felt the need to pet Emilie and poke her in the eye.

Sorry pup. You are going to have to wait.

Which he did because he is an awesome dog. He plopped down in the sun and took a snooze next to her on the step.

All of the sunshine we have been getting the last few days makes me realize that my back yard needs a TON of work. I'm not even sure where to start.

 Doug won't be home until the middle of March and I would love to get started on the yard before he gets home.

One great place that I can start getting inspired by is over at swing sets for kids. Its one of the stores over at CSN and it has a ton of great stuff.

Hopefully all of you out there are also enjoying this amazing sun. Because you never know when the dark dreary rain will come back.
